South Cardup Landfill was Select’s first venture into WA with the site receiving between 18,000 and 25,000 tonnes of non-putrescible and putrescible waste per month. Select was contracted to provide landfill services at the site. These services included tip face operations, stormwater & leachate management, maintenance of access roads & litter control.
As part of our landfill services infrastructure, Select operated an equipment workshop at the site inclusive of 1 qualified plant mechanic.
South Cardup Landfill was completed in December 2016 with operations moving to the new landfill site at North Bannister.
