Hampton Park Resource Recovery Precinct is located on Hallam Road near Dandenong in South East Melbourne. The site is home to a number of entities aimed at the recovery and reuse of incoming waste including Outlook a public drop off area and not for profit organisation, Resourceco, a specialist Construction & Demolition waste recycler, a Product Destruction Unit, and Education Centre and the Engineered Landfill.
Select Civil are contracted to Suez at the site to provide Landfill Services for the engineered landfill, these services encompass receiving and placing waste, road and infrastructure maintenance, odour & litter control and other services around the site to ensure compliance with the site licence conditions. Waste coming to the site is generally by kerbside collectors with a small number of larger transfer trailers. With the majority of the waste being brought to the site by kerbside collections the site is very busy with 300 to 400 truck movements a day. Select uses its fleet of equipment at the site to minimise waiting times for trucks, maximise compaction of waste and ensure application of cover material in line with EPA guidelines.
In conjunction with the engineered landfill at Hallam Road Select also provide landfill services for the Taylors Road landfill in Dandanong South. This facility is licensed for the disposal of special and industrial waste.
